Michele Faier

Michele Faier is an Integrative Healing Arts Therapist specializing in holistic lifestyle and wellness coaching, movement therapy, bodywork and nutritional counseling. Her approach to body/mind alignment is based in both Eastern and Western healing traditions. Her unique multi-disciplinary approach is tailored to individuals’ needs and attunes people to their own healing potential.

Michele has completed numerous yoga and pilates teacher trainings, and is a certified teacher in both disciplines. Having completed the yoga teacher training program at Yogaworks, Santa Monica, in 2000, she went on to complete a 9-month instructional apprenticeship with Jasmine Lieb, and assisted in the yoga therapy clinic at Yogaworks, Beverly Hills. Michele taught Gentle Yoga at Yogaworks, Montana, and taught pre- and post-natal yoga at Brentwood Yoga. She is currently completing an extensive three-year Viniyoga teacher and therapist training with renowed teacher Gary Kraftsow, to become certified as a Viniyoga therapist. Michele completed her Pilates teacher training in 2004 at the Long Beach Dance Conditioning Center with distinguished instructor Marie Jose-Bloom Lawrence.

Michele is highly trained in numerous bodywork modalities including Swedish, prenatal and deep tissue massage, Neuromuscular therapy and Cranialsacral therapy. She completed the Asian Healing Arts Certification in Zen Shiatsu Acupresssure, Qi Gong and Whole Foods Nutritional Counseling at the Heartwood Institute in Garberville, California in 2002. While there, she also completed an apprenticeship with leading nutritional authority Paul Pitchford, author of Healing With Whole Foods. She also recieved her certification in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage in 2001 at the Sunshine Network in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Michele has worked extensively in a physical therapy setting performing prenatal massage and treating chronic pain. She has treated numerous conditions including TMJ, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, thoracic outlet syndrome and sports injuries, as well as high risk pregnancy and other prenatal conditions.

In 2006 Michele completed Life Coach training at the Coaches’ Training Institute in California, and has been incorporating both life coaching and her own style of "holistic wellness and lifestyle coaching" with clients in her private practice.
